God really blessed the efforts of this mission trip. We were able to purchase items above and beyond the needs of the orphanage. Natalie and Bob felt that when they were shopping Jesus was feeding the 5,000 with the loaves and fishes. While buying outfits for all the kids (48 in total), the store gave them an extra shirt for each kid. Below are some of the pictures of the items purhases.
This afternoon we spent more time with the kids with stamps, stick on visors and we also played musical chairs - what a fun afternoon for all. As usual Natalie, Bob, Maggie and company were out shopping for the needs of the orphans - they were able to buy outfits for all the kids, sandals for all the kids, some bicycles, scooters, uniforms for all the nannies, baby walkers. We were also able to buy 4 special beds for the disables kids and 10 potty chairs for the disabled, and much much more.....
After we went boating, we went to the park and had a good game of bowling. The kids really enjoyed the huge bowling pins and the lollypops that they won for knocking down pins.
Mr Shao the director over both the Orphanage and the old folks homes for Fushun took the older orphans, nannies and us for a boat ride this morning on the reservoir for Fushun. It was a neat boat ride, we walked down a bunch of steps to the boat. Everybody enjoyed the fresh air and we were entertained by Bob and Scott leading the kids in Row Row Row Your Boat.
