July 13, 2007 - Visit to Phillip Hayden Foundation - Sheperd's Field

On Friday morning we went and visited Phillip Hayden Foundation - Sheperd's Field. The focus of this orphanage is to provide foster care and medical services for special needs kids from about 14 different orphanages. What they do is work with the state run orphanages and have the kids who have heart defects, cleft lip or any defect and raise support money to care for and secure the medical services that are required to get these kids better. The kids are then either adopted or returned to their home orphanage after they are all well.

While the kids are at Sheperd's Field they are extremely well cared for. They facility is excellent with the kids having cribs, play rooms and nannies who care for them. The work that Phillip Hayden foundation is blessed.

Here are a few pictures of the kids we saw at Sheperd's Field

This little girl was very cute. She had a huge wide smile and enjoyed playing with the parachute. She is awaiting a bone marrow transplant.

This is Rose, when she originally came to Sheperd's Fields they thought she had a heart problem, but after tests, it was determined that she was healthy but she still resides at Sheperd's Field

This is Abby. The Byrne Family sponsors Abby, She had a heart problem in that her heart valves were switched and has now been corrected. Praise God.
